Pricing & Payments
How much does tutoring cost?
Single sessions are $80/hour. 5-session packs are $350 (save $50). 10-session packs are $650 (save $150). See the pricing page for full details including exam sprints and advanced coaching options.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe. Bank transfer is available for packs. Payment is required before sessions.
Do session packs expire?
5-session packs are valid for 3 months. 10-session packs are valid for 6 months. This ensures you maintain momentum, but I can discuss extensions for exceptional circumstances.
Do you offer refunds?
Individual sessions cancelled with 24+ hours notice receive a full refund or credit. Packs are non-refundable but sessions are transferable. I handle emergencies case-by-case.
Is there a discount for multiple students?
Yes, families with multiple students get 10% off when purchasing packs together. Contact me directly to arrange this.
Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel or reschedule with 24+ hours notice for a full refund/credit. Late cancellations (under 24 hours) forfeit 50% of the session. No-shows forfeit the full session. Emergencies are handled individually.
What if I'm running late?
Let me know ASAP. Sessions start at the scheduled time—if you're late, we'll use the remaining time. If I'm late, I'll add time to compensate or offer a partial refund.
What if there are technical issues during online sessions?
If technical problems on my end prevent the session, we'll reschedule at no charge. Have a backup contact method ready (phone/email) so we can troubleshoot.
Will you do my assignment for me?
No. Academic integrity matters. I help you understand concepts, guide your approach, debug your code, and review your work—but you write the code. You'll be able to explain everything you submit.
Sessions & Delivery
What's the difference between online and in-person?
Both are equally effective. Online uses screen sharing via Zoom/Meet. In-person sessions happen in Newcastle. Choose based on your preference and schedule.
How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 60 minutes. For intensive work (like assignment help with a deadline), longer sessions up to 2 hours are available.
What should I prepare for a session?
Bring your code/assignment, any error messages, and specific questions. For learning sessions, have your course materials or goals in mind. A quiet space helps.
How often should I have sessions?
For consistent progress, weekly sessions work best. Fortnightly is fine for review/accountability. Some students book intensively before exams or deadlines.

What age groups do you work with?
Year 9 and above (typically 14+) through adults. Younger students can learn coding, but this age range benefits most from 1:1 tutoring.
Do you help complete beginners?
Yes! Many students start from zero. We'll build from fundamentals with clear explanations and lots of practice.
Can you help with university-level courses?
Yes. I regularly help students from Newcastle, UTS, Macquarie, UNSW, and other universities with assignments, exams, and concept clarification.
Do you help with career changes into tech?
Yes. I've helped career changers of various ages successfully transition. We can discuss realistic timelines and build a portfolio.

What languages/subjects do you teach?

Can you help with AI/machine learning?
Yes. I cover Python for AI, Pandas, intro ML with scikit-learn, and practical LLM applications. No heavy math required for most beginners—we focus on intuition and real projects. If you want a structured pathway, ask about advanced coaching options.
